Hey there! I am Monica. I am a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I started my career in the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Personal Training. I absolutely loved guiding people on how to make a difference in their health. I then took the leap into Corporate America and then on to motherhood. I decided to follow my passion and return to Wellness and became a Master Certified Health Coach.

Connecting with people has always been my super power. I am the person at a cocktail party that hangs out with ‘the new people’. I just love figuring out what makes a person tick and learning their story. I enjoy guiding clients to learn about why they make the choices they do.

I have always been the skinniest girl in the room, until I wasn’t. It happened after having kids. All of a sudden, I could no longer eat like I used to, and working out did not help as much as it once did. I have tried MANY diets and have learned that YES, you can even gain weight on a vegetarian diet. (Too much pasta can have that effect.) I have been VERY successful at losing weight, and EQUALLY as successful at putting it back on. It wasn’t until I took a step back and looked at my 80+ year old parents. They are THRIVING. I want to age as they have. What did they do? They eat primarily whole foods and small balanced meals. They also walk or go to the gym everyday. They live a life of moderation. It is a mindset and way of life… and it finally clicked.

My passions in life are family, health, and travel! I can’t do one without the other.

Why did I join My Body tutor?

I love the approach! This program is not about dieting. This program is about creating awareness. I know that the struggle to change your relationship with food can come with a lot of ups and downs. I want to help you get there, to feel like your best self. How you feel about yourself makes a huge difference as to how you see the world and interact with the different relationships in your life. MBT is designed to help you every step of the way. You will have me—a friend and mentor—I will encourage you, guide you and cheer you on. Together, we will reach your health goals.

By working with me, and walking through your health history and future goals, we will work together to formulate your specific plan. And it won’t stop there—We will battle through the tough moments, resistance, questions, concerns, drawbacks, denials, and excuses – Until we reach your goal, and you are ready to carry on independently, without looking back.
